Bernicia are looking for a supplier to give objective, strategic & operational financial advice to the group about all things VAT and tax, including but not limited to corporation tax, payroll tax, stamp duty.
Communal window cleaning services. Contract covers the cleaning of external and interior communal windows at Bernicia properties. Prospective suppliers would need to provide a reliable, comprehensive, high quality and value for money window cleaning service to achieve a high level of cleanliness at properties located from Berwick to Teesside
Bernicia are looking for an experienced contractor to supply and install a passenger list at a residential development.
Interested parties are required to submit a detailed proposal, as per the associated documents. For full transparency Bernicia will be using an external consultant to manage, review and evaluate all receiving bids. Bids will be evaluated based on contractors experience and ability as well as proposed solution and cost.
This project is subject to Section 20 consultation as the block consists of private leaseholder. Initial consultation has already concluded but further consultation will be required prior to formal award.
Bernicia are looking for several contractors to carry out various works across Bernicia properties. For transparency small works projects are generally property upgrades or refurbishments which are outside of our planned works programmes. Each project can range from £15,000 up to £250,000 and generally require multiple trades. A specification document has been provided as an overview of the contract only the exact nature of the projects required each year can differ.
The initial project is based at Grindon Lane, Sunderland, SR3 4EN. The property has 10 bedrooms with en-suite bathroom a communal reception area and office. The refurbishment project is to update all bathrooms, the reception area and office. There is also a requirement to upgrade the lighting in these areas.
The Bernicia Group are looking to appoint contractors offering specialised arbourcultural services, including but not limited to reactive and planned tree pruning works, planting of new and replacement trees, tree felling and stump removal, tree surveys and various other related tree maintenance.
This will be split between two lots:
Lot 1 - Tree Works and Maintenance
Lot 2 - Tree Surveys
Bernicia are looking to appoint a supplier to provide an internal audit service (based on circa 120-140 days per annum) and deliver a three-year audit plan This contract will be awarded based on a three year minimum period with the option to extend for a further two years.
Bernicia are looking for a provider to both source a fleet of new commercial vehicles as well as provide additional fleet services including but not limited to servicing, repairs, and maintenance. Predominantly this contract will cover Bernicia’s Property Maintenance Team but may also include other arms such as Estate Services, Care and Repair and Kingston Property Services. Bidders will be required to provide all the services outlined within this tender document fully and whilst our intention is to award to one bidder, Bernicia do however reserve the right to award to more than one bidder as per the details outlined within this document. This opportunity is being offered with a minimum term of 3 years with the option to extend up to a maximum of 6 years to be reviewed annually after the minimum period.
The Bernicia Group wish to appoint contractors who can cover the geographical area from Northumberland to Teesside to undertake Voids Clearance and Cleaning services for the Group. As a significant regional business Bernicia is ideally placed to assist with the delivery of the strategic vision for the Northeast, and in doing so deliver positive outcomes for tenants, customers, and stakeholders.
In satisfying this requirement they shall operate a fully managed Voids Clearance and Cleaning service, which:
• Ensures a robust quality assurance process is established and delivered under the organisation’s duties and obligations under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and all subsequent legislation governing all its activities to all stakeholders of the group.
• Certifies that the provision of the service whilst undertaking all work activities is carried out in accordance with key criteria as laid down in legislation and statutory regulations.
• Ensures that all aspects of the activities undertaken within the service are inspected and reported against giving an impartial and balanced view of performance.
• Ensures good practice as set out in industry ACOP’s (Approved Code of Practice) and defining legislation is observed across the organisation.
• Provides a standard of services that helps to maximise customer satisfaction and provides a positive image to Bernicia.
• Delivers a high standard of Voids Clearance and Cleaning services with the use of safe materials or methods that do not pose any harm to the community. This should comply with COSHH guidance.
• Delivers effective customer services.
• Has a flexible approach to any unplanned or reactive work.
The Voids Clearance and Cleaning service contract will cover the Clearance and Cleaning of properties that Bernicia deems appropriate. This is to ensure the safe re-let of the property and to ensure a tidy presentation. The contract will be covered by a pricing schedule of potential works, tasks and charges.
Contractor’s responsibilities for the Void Clearance and Cleaning Service for all sites:
• To carry out a prompt and thorough Void Clearance / Cleaning / Garden Maintenance Service of properties identified by Bernicia
• To ensure that a deep clean service is provided when requested to ensure the properties identified are safe and presentable for re-let.
• To provide all the relevant equipment and consumables to carry out the contracted tasks
• To ensure that any waste materials from carrying out the service are disposed of in a responsible manner.
• To ensure that all relevant precautions are taken when removing hazardous, biological waste or drug paraphernalia. To inform Bernicia of any and all such materials that have been identified.
It is the responsibility of the contractor to manage the delivery, performance, and provision of the services in a co-ordinated manner in agreement with Bernicia. The contractor must be innovative and proactive throughout the term of the contract.
Bernicia are renewing their current framework contract for the provision of redecoration and pre-decoration repairs to their housing stock throughout the period 2023 – 2026.
This is a direct award on CCS framework reference RM6315 under PCR2015 for the provision of vehicle tracking devices.
