This Prior Information Notice is to notify interested parties of a Supplier Information Event in regard to a forthcoming tender opportunity for Arun District Council's Combined Cleansing Service Contract from 2026. The primary objective of this supplier information engagement exercise is to communicate the expected direction of the Council's approach to this procurement and subsequent contract to the supplier market with regard to these services, and to present and discuss factors that influenced decisions within the specification and suggested procurement approach. This will be an informative event to ensure suppliers understand the Council's approach to re-procuring the current Combined Cleansing Services Contract to ensure continuity of service in anticipation of the contract end date. Market feedback is welcomed on the subject matter discussed in the presentation, along with any suggestions on adjustments to this that could yield or result in a more beneficial overall contract for all parties.

Arun District Council, is a local government district in West Sussex. Through our Combined Cleansing Services Contract, we currently provide weekly residual collections to c.78,000 properties, alongside fortnightly dry mixed recycling and fortnightly subscriber-based garden waste collections. The contract also includes street cleansing. The primary objective of the market engagement exercise is to understand the capabilities and capacity within the market, and to identify how the market can support the Council and gain insight into the most suitable delivery model. The Council intends to engage with market operators via an Engagement Questionnaire to gauge interest and opinion on service delivery and procurement options.

This project comprises of supply, delivery and installation of 13 Beach Huts. This Prior Information Notice is to be used as a gauge of market interest and will be used to help shape a procurement strategy.
