Ards and North Down Borough Council currently operate 5 harbours- Groomsport, Donaghadee, Ballywalter, Ballyhalbert and Cook St Portaferry. In addition, the Council is responsible for a number of navigational aids, situated throughout the surrounding Coastal area. The majority of the basic operational tasks at the Harbours are carried out by a Council Harbours' team. However, there are additional tasks that require assistance or a specialist skillset and include both Planned Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance. The Council wishes to appoint a suitably qualified contractor to undertake these additional tasks.

Ards and North Down Borough Council (ANDBC or the Client) is developing a long-term vision for a Regional Park running from Belfast to Comber; Newtownards; Donaghadee and back to Belfast (the boundary being 50km of a new greenway scheme). Whitespots Country Park at Newtownards (the Project) will be the nucleus for this Regional Park, a development of a new multi-use recreational facility with trails and interpretation of the unique story of the site. ANDBC is looking to appoint an Economic Operator to lead a multidisciplinary design consultancy team (ICT) to undertake the Design, Specifications, Procurement, Supervision, and overall Project Management from RIBA Stage 0 through to RIBA Stage 7 for Whitespots Country Park.

Ward Park is a 37-acre urban park, located close to the centre of Bangor, Co Down, owned and managed by Ards and North Down Borough Council. The Park has a zoo licence which permits the keeping of unusual birds for viewing by the public, and includes bird aviaries, housing fowl, canaries, budgerigars, peacocks, and peahens. The Park is characterised by the fact that it contains numerous mature trees and a chain of three narrow interconnected ponds which form a significant feature through the centre of the Park. Ward Park has been identified as requiring significant improvements in order to restore the heritage of the park. The main watercourse running through the area is in need of attention to alleviate a significant silting problem. The park also needs updating to meet the changing needs of its users, and to address issues such as accessibility, and quality of facilities. Ards and North Down Borough Council seeks to appoint an Economic Operator to provide the services of an Integrated Consultancy Team (ICT) to initially carry out a review of the RIBA Stage 3 detailed design and then to undertake RIBA Stages 4 to Stage 7 services.

Ards and North Down Borough Council have a number of grass sports pitches which require high quality end of season maintenance. To fulfil this requirement the Council wishes to appoint a competent and reliable contractor for the provision of End of Season Sports Pitch Maintenance for the 2023 season with the option to extend for a further three (3) seasons until 30 June 2026.

Tenders are sought by Ards and North Down Borough Council for the supply and delivery of the following machines and vehicles: • Two 3600kg (max) Compact Track Excavator with Cabin • One 2500kg (max) Compact Track Excavator with Cabin • Four 20hp (min) Street Legal Utility Vehicles. The services required under this contract are for the design and management of the delivery of Ballyholme Yacht Club Watersports Centre.TThis project is one of five constituent projects included in the Bangor Waterfront Redevelopment programme, to help re-establish Bangor as a thriving City and prime visitor attraction in Northern Ireland. The Bangor Waterfront Redevelopment project is a tourism led regeneration scheme which has secured funding through the Belfast Region City Deal to turn Bangor into a ‘destination of choice’, as a place to live, work, visit, study and invest, through a series of interconnected developments and experiences along Bangor Waterfront. The redeveloped facility at Ballyholme Yacht Club will contribute to the Contracting Authority's long-term vision to ‘Seamlessly connect the waterfront to the rest of the city and, in doing so, provide a unique, wide range of opportunities for residents, visitors and businesses, inspired by a wonderful environment, public spaces, creative events and activities with attractions that speak of local stories to a global audience’. Ballyholme Yacht Club (BYC) has been identified as a premier location within Northern Ireland to develop sailing and watersports for the community and to attract more competitors and visitors to the area through a full programme of local, national and international watersports events. The Bangor Waterfront Outline Business Case concluded that the current (BYC) facilities are no longer fit for purpose and, therefore, is intended to redevelop the entire site and all associated facilities. A new premier facility will be located within Ballyholme Yacht Club’s existing site boundary, in Ballyholme Bay at the entrance to Belfast Lough and expand on its current offering to increase capacity and accessibility to meet user needs, attract and host additional events, improve the health and well-being of residents, and increase participation in a range of open-water sports across all demographics.

Situated on the Belfast Lough, Bangor Marina and Harbour is one of the largest 5 Gold Anchor accredited marina developments on the island of Ireland. The 541-berth marina is accessible 24/7 at all states of tide and is home to an active fleet of leisure and commercial vessels. The marina attracts a considerable number of visiting vessels annually and is a real focal point within the City of Bangor, Co. Down. The operation of the Marina and Harbour has been outsourced to a private operator since 1 April 2008 with the latest agreement due to expire on 30 September 2024. An opportunity now exists for an experienced operator to take on the management of Bangor Marina and Harbour for the next 50.5 years.

Proposals are sought by Ards and North Down Borough Council for the appointment of suppliers onto an Arboricultural services framework. This will include planned maintenance works as well as emergency work. The framework duration will be initially for 1 year, with the possibility of extension for 3 further periods of 12 months.
