Supply of 2no 26/27t Trade Bata lift RCV, 6x2 configuration
The council invites interested suppliers to register their interest to participate in the procurement process. Suppliers are invited to submit their interest to the procurement@adur-worthing.gov.uk by 3rd May 2023.
General Requirements: 26/27t Trade Bata lift RCV, 6x2 configuration.
Vehicle Qty: 2. The vehicles should be available and delivered to the Council within 1-3 weeks. Vehicle age: 3-4 years old.
This is the desirable specification of the vehicle that the council would anticipate to procure; Low mileage (to be specified based on the expected use of the vehicle). Vehicle make: Dennis (preferred but not essential). Vehicle model: To be specified by the supplier based on the council's requirements and availability. The vehicle should comply with all relevant safety and environmental standards. Body and Lifting Equipment: Trade Bata lift body with a minimum capacity of 500kg. The body should be constructed of high-quality materials to ensure durability and longevity. The lifting equipment should be capable of lifting and emptying containers with ease and accuracy up to 1100ltrs. On-Board Weighing:The vehicle should be equipped with an on-board weighing system to accurately weigh containers as they are lifted. The weighing system should be capable of displaying the weight on a screen desirable. The system should be calibrated and certified by a relevant authority. CCTV: The vehicle should be equipped with a CCTV system to provide the driver with clear visibility around the vehicle, including blind spots. The CCTV system should include a monitor in the driver's cab. The system should be capable of recording footage for evidential purposes. Engine and Transmission: The vehicle should be powered by a diesel engine. The engine should comply with relevant environmental standards. Cab and Interior: The driver's cab should be comfortable and ergonomically designed. The cab should be fully enclosed with air conditioning and heating. The vehicle should be equipped with a reversing camera. Warranty and Service: The supplier should provide a warranty for the vehicle and its components. The supplier should offer a maintenance and service package for the vehicle. The supplier should provide training to the operator on the safe and proper use of the vehicle and its equipment.
A&W - Adaptations for people with disabilities - works
Adur District Council is seeking to procure works related to the provision of adaptations for people with disabilities in Adur District Council properties not more than three storeys in height. The required works include, but are not limited to:
Access to garden
Access to house
Door widening
External rails
External structural work
Hard standings
Internal structural work
Kitchen Adaptations
Level access showers
Over bath showers
Paths/ground works
Ramps
Wash & dry toilets
Contractors will also be expected to conduct pre-inspection surveys and arrange formal handovers of completed works to the tenant(s); ensuring they are made fully aware of the operation of all new equipment and the full manufacturer's operating/cleaning instructions. These actions are to be confirmed to Adur District Council's Contract Administrator in the form of a handover pack.
Contractors are required to have a valid standard DBS check.
The contract currently has an estimated cost of up to £300,000.00 per annum.
