A ratification voting service to administer and report a vote to ratify from 4 up to 20 new/2nd term sector council member appointments. There will be between 1 and 5 to be ratified in each sector - Beef & Lamb; Pork; Dairy; Cereal & Oilseeds. There will need to be four separate sector vote streams, run simultaneously across four separate sector Councils. We estimate that up to a third of voters will be eligible to vote across more than one sector. The voting platform(s) will need to be able to host a photo and short biography of each candidate along with some general contextual text about the Sector Council, who's being replaced, and the skill sets being sought. Of those registered to vote (currently c.10,000), 12% did so when this was run as a stand-alone process in 2023. These simple sector council member ratification votes will be run in Autumn 2024, 2026 and 2027.

Food security and safety remains a priority issue for UK agriculture. There is need for continued investment in this work, as ensuring the safety and quality of the major UK cereals for human consumption and animal feed remains a top priority for the agricultural industry. Continued monitoring of contaminants in cereals across the supply chain is essential in order to provide scientific evidence and assure the cereal industry their products are safe, and of good quality, for use in the domestic and export markets. The data generated by previous phases of the project has been used to inform discussions on new legislation and growing demands on supply, as well as be a vital source to demonstrate due diligence. AHDB is looking for a contractor to undertake the new phase of this project over the next 2 years, with the potential to extend for a further 3 years in 12-month increments (1 August 2025 to 31 July 2030). The main purpose of this project is to provide an independent survey of the incidence and levels of key contaminants in representative samples of UK-grown cereals (wheat, barley and oats) and co-products (wheatfeed and oatfeed), to ensure they meet legal compliance guideline limits and are safe for human consumption and animal feed. The project will also monitor current and emerging legislation and contaminant issues which could impact on the safety of cereal-based foods and their acceptability in key home and overseas markets.
Award of Contract. AHDB intend to commission a Contract to one agency for the provision of Satisfaction Surveys of AHDB customers and stakeholders. Our farmers, growers and processors expect to see a return for the levy they pay, and these surveys form a key part of our evaluation strategy.
The Customer Insight Measure (CIM) has taken place annually since 2015, with fieldwork carried out between October and December, we intend for this pattern to continue. The last survey was completed between October and December 2024. The survey allows AHDB to evaluate its performance as one organisation, as well as being able to compare baseline levels between individual sectors. Processor levy payer respondents are asked slightly different recruitment questions to farmer/grower levy payers, given the different nature of their businesses. While the core questions across farmer/grower and processor levy payers remain consistent, the recruitment section varies, so there are some efficiencies in set up and training with the interview team, but they do need to be run as two surveys.
A mini competition was released to shortlisted suppliers against framework RM6124 which falls under PCR15 and therefore using old notices.
AHDB wanted to procure a Contract to a successful Supplier for the provision of a PR agency to deliver service. The successful supplier will be required to deliver PR services as well as ensuring value for money for levy payers is provided.
Objective
Our aim to add balance to the food debate and ultimately to reassure, inform and engage consumers-especially those who feel conflicted about their choices-not by going on the defensive but by confidently delivering science-backed storytelling that builds term trust and protects purchase intent.
Strategy
Our strategy will be built on a smart, high-impact PR programme that both compliments and amplifies the Let's Eat Balanced campaign and carves out a bolder, more visible voice for British food and the British farming community.
The contract runs from 1st April 2026 until 31st March 2027 with 1+1+1 options to extend.
The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) has begun a programme of work to upgrade its Digital, Data and Technology (DDAT) services so that it can continue to meet the expanding requirements of its levy-payers. There are three key drivers for this programme - the ever-increasing need for data and market intelligence; the requirement to meet legislation and regulations in making DDAT services accessible, well-managed and secure; the drive to use emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to provide higher value services for levy-payers and the wider agriculture sector, and to do so as efficiently as possible.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, additional work was required for this contract which went over the 50% allowance of the initial contract value. Therefore AHDB had to put in place a STA to cover this works. AHDB have since changed eportals from Bravo to Atamis and can't link to any notices without raising new on Atamis in order to link to the Corrigendum.
AHDB is made up of four individual sectors and a cross sector for shared responsibilities under the one AHDB central organisation, these. These sectors run separate budgets and accounts. All activities are detailed, recorded and invoiced by purchase orders from each sector. We are a publisher of a wide spectrum of technical, research and marketing resources. The publications and marketing materials are delivered to the warehouse facility either directly from source or via AHDB, entered into inventory and stored. All goods arriving will be clearly labelled with SKU, description of contents, number of boxes and quantity per box.
These are then available on a call off basis to AHDB levy payers, requests for publications are made to the Bureau team at AHDB and in some cases directly to the warehouse. The requests from AHDB are then forwarded to the warehouse facility via a portal ordering system for fulfilment and despatch to the requesting end user.
The warehouse also assembles marketing, promotional and educational kits, to meet AHDB requirements. Mailing data is provided via a secure file transfer site to the warehouse facility from the AHDB Customer Relationship Management (CRM) team for all warehouse mailing activities.
Under the existing contract, a sole supplier provides all warehousing, mailing and fulfilment services for AHDB under the existing tender agreement. Storage of printed matter, from single sheet flyers, multi-page brochures and any marketing aids and tools are entered into an inventory according to the ordering AHDB sector.
