Guildford Borough Council is one of eleven Surrey district councils which includes the famous county town, Guildford. It is located in the semi-rural south-west of the County of Surrey and is well known for its wooded landscape, rolling hills, the Hogs Back, Guildford Cathedral and Castle, and of course, Guildford itself. The council provides in-house the full range of district council facilities, including waste & recycling, parks & countryside, planning services, housing & community services, leisure and car parking. The current Leisure Management Contract includes Guildford's three leisure centres: The Spectrum being by far the largest, Guildford Lido which is a seasonal offering and Ash Manor a Dual Use site. Guildford Borough Council is seeking to appoint a supplier to achieve a fully specified leisure management contract that reflects current best practice, embeds performance management with a suitable contract monitoring system and support in the identified a procurement route that provides the council with best value.
