Description

Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) is commissioning an Oral Health Workforce Education Programme. We are looking to develop our understanding of the market and see what we can learn from dental providers to support the development of this service area, which will be entirely new to the county. We are seeking early feedback from dental providers to help shape the development of a proposed Oral Health Workforce Education Programme. As part of our premarket engagement, we invite providers to review the draft service specification and provide insight into the feasibility, deliverability, and practicality of the outlined requirements. Your professional expertise is essential in helping us understand how the proposed model aligns with organisational experience, workforce availability, and the realities of delivering care to vulnerable or underserved groups across a range of community settings. We are particularly interested in your views on the scope of service expectations, potential opportunities and constraints, and any refinements which could improve the delivery model. Feedback will support us in refining the specification to ensure it is realistic, sustainable, and capable of achieving improved oral health outcomes amongst priority groups. This engagement is not part of any procurement process but is intended to promote open dialogue, test assumptions, and ensure that any future commissioning activity reflects sector insight and best practice.
