Description

We are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the design and installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems on numerous buildings on Portsmouth Naval base. Our buildings present a range of structural requirements. Light weight solar installations are required for some key buildings due to weight limits of <7 kg/m² for the PV installation. Other buildings have insulated roof coverings, so require a non-penetrating mounting system is recommended to prevent damage to the insulation layer. Contractors must demonstrate proven capability in delivering PV systems within these constraints and in selecting technologies that ensure structural suitability, durability, and optimal performance. We will also inviting suppliers to join the KBS Maritime Framework for the supply and installation of the following PV requirements: - Standard PV - Lightweight PV - Specialized / Heritage - Solar Slate/Solar Tiles Those that meet the criteria of this initial phase will be invited to participate in a final competition. Deadlines for expressions of interest are the 16th April. Any expressions received after this date will not be accepted.
