Description

Northern is intending to initiate a future procurement process for the supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to support safety-critical working across its rail operations. The scope of the procurement will include, but not be limited to, the provision of high-visibility clothing, safety footwear, protective gloves, eye and hearing protection, respiratory equipment, and other PPE items essential for ensuring the health, safety, and compliance of personnel working in operational rail environments. Given the integrated nature of the requirement and the need for consistency across the network, it is anticipated that the tender will be conducted as a single basket rather than being divided into separate lots. Suppliers will be expected to demonstrate the ability to deliver certified, high-quality PPE that meets relevant rail industry standards, ensure continuity of supply, and provide responsive support to accommodate varying demand and operational schedules.
