Formation of New Football Pitches, Haddenham, Cambs

Haddenham Parish Council is seeking Expressions of Interest for the formation of new football pitches at Land Parcel 7216 at Bury Lane, Haddenham, Cambridgeshire. The works will include the following: • Locate underground services and carry out test digs to prove depth to the services where new drains will be installed over these services. • Mark out development area within the site and apply total herbicide, strip vegetation, cultivate topsoil to 150 - 200 mm depth and work to a fine tilth and apply prilled gypsum. • Laser or box grade to produce an even surface within the existing falls of the site. Install a piped drainage system using specialist land drainage trenchers/ wheels (excavators will not be suitable). • Construct a detention basin and connection to adjacent ditch using suitable approved headwalls. • Remove arisings to the easement area and shape, fertilisation, stone burying / picking. • Supply and spread sports sand top-dressing material. • Seeding, establishment, reinstate haul route and easement areas and seed, maintenance to handover including temporary irrigation. • Install sand grooves the following summer, brush and top-dress with sand.
