Premarket for loan distribution for carbon reduction works

Warwick District Council are inviting potential providers of loan distribution to attend pre-market engagement sessions. The Council are looking at ways to help residents and businesses in the district reduce carbon emissions and energy costs. with the aim of reducing carbon emissions across the district. While there is additional work to do around supporting businesses, as the first stage of this strategic goal work, the Programme Board supporting officers have been exploring the ways in which the Council can support private residents, in addition to existing schemes such as the government grant schemes. One method of supporting residents is to provide a loan, at a lower interest rate than a standard bank loan. Officers are also considering the option of including a small grant alongside the loan, to incentivise residents.
