Market Engagement PIN for the Mobile Infrastructure Monitoring Delivery Strategy

Network Rail is pleased to host a series of Industry Engagement Events following on from the opportunity published under publication reference 2021/S/ 000-004088 - PIN for the Mobile Infrastructure Monitoring Category Strategy. The first event is planned to be hosted on 19th July 2022 followed by a series of face to face/ virtual 1-2-1 sessions. It is anticipated that further Industry Engagement Events will be hosted later in the year. Please register your interest by emailing the names of those attending back to Improgramme@networkrail.co.uk. RSVP by 15th July. As part of its reliability centred maintenance Network Rail has an extensive Infrastructure Monitoring (IM) programme that provides information to the regional engineering teams on the condition of their assets and trend analysis to identify and classify defects to facilitate corrective and preventative maintenance of the network. In this project we would like to focus on the mobile infrastructure monitoring operations currently undertaken via trainborne collection methods. There are a range of operations and supporting contracts for the current service delivery ranging from the purchase, operation and maintenance of the current IM fleet, technology and the associated systems used for data analytics and reporting. Collaboration will be critical in developing new services that meet the future asks of infrastructure monitoring.
