Anglian Water Services (hereafter AWS) are seeking to enter into a PPA framework with a number of renewable energy generation counterparties, with the aim of running mini competitions for defined volumes of power on our journey to net zero carbon. AWS currently import >600GWh of electricity from the grid, and this framework will support our ambitions to be 45% renewable by 2025, and 100% by 2030. Our intention is utilise this framework to bring significant volumes of power into our supply mix from October 2023.
