Provision of 10 Nursing beds and 12 nursing Elderly Mentally Infirm for 6 months to support stepdown during the Winter period

The City of York Council (CYC) is looking to commission 10 Nursing beds and 12 nursing EMI residential beds for an initial period of 6 months. This is to support hospital discharges to stepdown and step up and avoiding hospital admissions during the Winter period within York. CYC would like to have a geographical spread for the beds across the City of York to provide easy access for our customers. We would like to engage with the market to seek expressions of interest from providers who have the capacity in the market to support the requirements set out in this document and who can commence as soon as possible. CYC are looking for a range of providers who have the experience, knowledge, and the appropriate registrations and trained staff to support this commission. A block commission to support hospital discharge, hospital avoidance and may also have referrals from the Hospital and Brokerage team. The contract is for an initial period of 6 months. Commencement date as soon as possible (September/October 2022). The value of the 6 month contract is anticipated to be in the region of £474,194.
