Community Dental Services - Bradford

Description

Contract awarded by NHS England (North East and Yorkshire - Yorkshire and the Humber) for the provision of community dental services (special care and paediatric dentistry) for the population of Yorkshire and the Humber. The NHS community dental services in Yorkshire and the Humber provide dental care for adults and children with additional needs and those from other vulnerable groups whose needs cannot be met by the general dental services. They provide a range of services, which include special care and paediatric dentistry and others including, urgent dental care and treatment under general anaesthetic. A Single Tender Action has been enacted to support service review and redesign, continued patient access required, for mandatory and urgent and specialist service provision. Direct contract award pending changes to the health system and delegation of functions to ICBs, ensuring providers have capacity to bid, post Covid and commissioners can be responsive to the market and ensure robust public and patient engagement is undertaken to ensure patient centred services that meet the needs of the population . The Contracting Authority intends to commission new services in line with relevant legislation. Future procurement processes will be published via Find a Tender and Contracts Finder.
