Description

The Visitor Information Centre (VIC) in Romsey and its staff are the first point of contact for tourism related enquiries covering the whole of Test Valley. The VIC serves two inter-related functions: its main role is to attract and welcome visitors into Test Valley and support the local tourism sector. This includes overseas as well as domestic visitors. In addition, the VIC is a community resource for local residents, which offers a point of contact for events, community organisations, offers tickets for local events and venues etc. The tendered service comprises: A. Promoting tourism and attracting visitors into Test Valley by delivering a service at the VIC and dealing with tourism enquiries in person, by phone/email/social media/website contact forms; and providing a service to the local community; and B. Promoting tourism and attracting visitors into Test Valley by work outside the VIC including supporting Test Valley tourism businesses through a variety of means, including promotion of business on the Visit Romsey website and working with TVBC Visit Test Valley website.
