SOL - Surface Condition Assessments of the National Network of Roads

1.2 Brief description of Service: Solihull MBC is acting as the lead authority for the procurement exercise relating to the provision of SCANNER (Surface Condition Assessment of the National Network of Roads) surveys for a joint survey of the Classified Road networks of the participating West Midlands District Councils, as defined in 2.4 This activity includes all survey work, data processing and supply of data in accordance with the current SCANNER specification, work must only be carried out using fully accredited equipment. It is proposed that the contract will be awarded on a single source basis on behalf of all 6 authorities. 1.3 Contract Term The proposed contract period is from 01.04.23 to 31.03.24 (1 year) with an option to extend for 2 x 1 years. Any extension of the contract would be agreed by both parties and would be subject to the terms and conditions of the main contract.
