C1189 - Insurance Brokerage Services

Description

Provision of insurance brokerage services and potentially risk management services to include risk identification, analysis and control. Bidders participating in this tender must be capable of providing brokerage services for the NI Water Group for all of the below insurance covers and providing advice on the quality and effectiveness of our: • Employers Liability (including excess layers) • Public Liability (including excess layers) • Commercial Property and Business Interruption • Environmental Impairment Liability • Motor Fleet • Computer and Portable Equipment and Data risks • Directors and Officers (including Employment Practices Liability) • Professional Indemnity • Pension Trustee Liability • Terrorism • Crime • Cyber • Parametric insurances • Solar farm • Travel and Personal Accident There may be other ad hoc requirements as and when they arise, for example, through changes to our risk profile which necessitates new insurance cover. It is anticipated that, at a minimum, bidders will be expected to undertake the following (list not exhaustive): • Be proactive in the design, implementation, maintenance and servicing of NI Water's insurance programme and total cost of insurance risks; • Manage a tender exercise on NI Water's behalf in accordance with the Utilities Contract Regulations 2016; • Provide an effective insurance programme to meet NIW's business risks; • Plan and schedule a programme of works to deliver the required service over the length of the contract; • Work with NI Water to increase its profile in the insurance market; • Support NI Water in resolving queries with insurance companies; • Provide claims advice and assistance with large losses; • Provide insurance risk services which may be relevant to NI Water including advice on best practice within the industry and legislative changes/requirements and forward risk management; • Innovate in respect of improvements to programme structures or methods of working; • Propose alternative risk financing options as appropriate to government owned company; • Provide 24 hour access in an emergency; • Provide insurance advice on contractual matters; • Provide support, assistance and advice in relation to complex insurance claim settlements; and • Support and contribute towards NI Water's risk management through workshops and awareness sessions. Duration is anticipated to be a 3 year Contract with the option to extend for 1+1 years.
