Building 47 has an existing and functioning Van de Graaff Accelerator on the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) campus at Teddington. More than 60 years after the installation of NPL's first neutron measurement facility the UK government outlined plans for a new series of nuclear reactors in a bid to boost UK energy security and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. The new facility at NPL will provide all important traceability in terms of established safety protocols and stringent regulatory compliance that ensures these new-build reactors can help drive the rapid and safe expansion of nuclear power in the UK. The refurbishment of Building 47, including architectural and structural modifications, and MEP services strip out and replacement. The majority of the works entail refurbishment to the accelerator room, accelerator control room and main lab bay area To access the tender documentation please follow this link to turner and townsend's eTender site: https://turnerandtownsend.bravosolution.com/web/login.html Please contact Josh.Bridgeman@ttalinea.com if you have any issues.
