Description

The requirement is for the provision of a business led comprehensive and highly integrated range of occupational health services (OHS) to enable South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) to meet the service needs, common law and statutory duties of care for the health, safety and welfare of its employees in their working environment. The aim is to secure so far as is reasonably practicable the promotion and maintenance of the highest degree of physical and mental well-being of the Council's employees during their employment. An essential feature to the success of the OHS is the confidence, which employees and managers have in it. In this respect, the maintenance of confidentiality of information relating to the employees of SCDC, both medical and otherwise, gained in the course of the provision of the OHS, is paramount. Accordingly, in relation to confidentiality, the Service Provider shall comply with the codes of ethical conduct established by the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FOM), the British Medical Association (BMA), the General Medical Council (GMC) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
