T23-065ENV Provision of Materials Processing Services for Recycling of Source Segregated Materials Collected from Recycling Centres and Recycling Points

Derry City and Strabane District Council wish to appoint a suitable contractor and or contractors for the Provision of Materials Processing Services for Recycling of Source Segregated Materials collected from Recycling Centres and Recycling Points. Contractors must be able to provide a service that allows for the following elements- collection's and material processing for Recycling of Source Segregated Materials from Recycling Centres and Recycling Points, Transfer Stations and other Council Facilities to include recoverable materials from parks, cemeteries, grounds maintenance operations etc. Contractors can tender for all or some of the lots listed below along with their EWC codes. An EWC Code is a six-digit code used to identify waste as listed in the European Waste Catalogue. Lots are as follows: Lot 1: Glass bottles and Jars 20 01 02, Lot 2: Rubble- Mixed C and D Inert 20 03 99, Lot 3: Paper and cardboard 20 01 01, Lot 4: Cans 20 01 40, Lot 5: Hard Plastics 20 01 39, Lot 6: Green Waste 20 02 01, Lot 7: Scrap Metal 20 01 40, Lot 8: Wood 20 01 37 and 20 01 38, Lot 9: Cemetery Waste or Municipal Parks and Ground Waste 20 02 01, Lot 10: Plastic Bottles 20 01 39, Lot 11: Plasterboard 20 03 99, Lot 12: Mattresses 23 03 07, Lot 13: Mixed Dry Recyclables from some Strabane area based Recycling Centres 20 03 01 and Lot 14: Textiles 20 01 11. The Competition for each Lot is being conducted using the open procedure in accordance with the Regulations. Each Competition is separate from the others, although this Invitation to Tender establishes the terms and conditions of all Competitions. Please refer to the CfT documents for further details.
