Provision of Primary Care Medical Services from Spring House Medical Centre

Description

This purpose of this notice is to inform the market of a contract awarded to Ephedra Healthcare Limited to provide Primary Care Medical Services from Springs House Medical Centre within the town of Welwyn Garden City commissioned by NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (HWE ICB) following the successful conclusion of a procurement process. HWE ICB was established on 1st July 2022 and serves a population of approximately 1.6m. The Authority works closely with its system partners to improve the health and wellbeing of our local communities. Services can be commissioned at 'place' level or across the wider ICB. The service has been commissioned across South and West Hertfordshire place (previously the area covered by Herts Valleys Clinical Commissioning Group). The contract approach is Standard Alternative Provider Medial Services (APMS) with the aim to continue provision of medical services from the current premises. The current APMS Contract to provide the services to patients at Spring House Medical Centre expired on 30th September 2023. The intended outcome of this project is to ensure that there is continued provision Primary Medical Services to the registered population of Spring House Medical Centre, in East and North Hertfordshire geographical footprint. The maximum contract duration for this service is 9.5 years (5.5 years initial plus 4-year extension provision). The maximum aggregate contract value for this service is £8,674,545 (exclusive of VAT): - (£5,022,105 initial 5.5 year period from 1st October 2023 to 31st March 2029) + (£3,652,440 4-year extension provision from 1st April 2029 to 31st March 2033).
