Wadebridge Town Council is seeking to appoint a contractor to carry out the ground works to enable the installation of a modular toilet unit to include a Changing Places cubicle. The works will include excavation, bringing in of the utilities services, installation of pad foundations and ducting, ramp and drainage. The management of National Grid and South West Water will be the responsibility of the Principal Contractor (PC). The modular Changing Places will be supplied and installed by the manufacturer who will bring the modular unit to the site and lower into place. There will be external works for the PC to continue with whilst the Changing Places supplier are installing for a two week period. PC management and coordination required. PC also required to manage the process and install foul drainage connection to existing SWW inspection chamber (invert 4m app) in the car park. Trench and install new 25mm pipework to enable water supply from the Changing Places base to enable SWW to connect near site boundary at Jubilee Road. Elements of groundwork to enable National Grid to bring power supply to concrete base. Install concrete ramp and handrails for access to modular unit. Include all surface water drainage to same. Minor landscaping. Management of the traffic and pedestrians required at all times to the car park and surrounding areas of the works. Following award of the contract the works must commence as soon as possible. Due to funding requirements all works must be completed by 22 March 2024. Additional information: Tender queries to be submitted by 4 December 2024. Queries submitted after this date will not be responded to. Tender award date 21 December 2024.
