Description

Northern has 10 class 158/9s that based on the time between overhaul (8 years) need to go through a C6 overhaul line with Northern's & Eversholt specification document "EV/VI1586 Issue 3". The requirement is that each of the 10 units has been through the C6 overhaul programme before the current C6 expires as per the below dates; Unit No Exam Due Date U158910 C6 03/09/2024 U158907 C6 23/09/2024 U158906 C6 14/10/2024 U158901 C6 04/11/2024 U158905 C6 25/11/2024 U158902 C6 16/12/2024 U158903 C6 20/01/2025 U158909 C6 03/02/2025 U158904 C6 02/03/2025 U158908 C6 29/03/2025 The C6 focus' on; AIR SYSTEM (Excluding brake equipment)/ BRAKES - AIR/VACUUM/ BODYWORK (Excluding interior trim)/ BATTERY/CONTROL SYSTEMS/ FLOORING/ HEATING/AIR CONDITIONING/ INTERIOR TRIM /FITTINGS/ FUEL SYSTEMS/ DOORS/ UNDERFRAME/ VEHICLE ACTIVITIES/ WATER & TOILET SYSTEMS (excluding Catering). Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
