Ordnance Survey Geospatial Data Services provide a range of production and support activities ensuring the delivery of authoritative national geospatial datasets - including The National Geographic Database (NGD). The NGD contains the authoritative data that describes the geography of Great Britain. Capturing, maintaining, and improving NGD data is key to the OS public task. To ensure the quality and accuracy of the NGD, Ordnance Survey has an ongoing requirement for the capture and maintenance of core Geospatial Data. These core data directly support the NGD, as well as other key OS products and services. Using bespoke planning and editing tools, and detailed capture specification, real-world geospatial data changes are captured across all the geographies of Great Britain. Alongside key data improvement activity this continuous geospatial revision ensures that OS data remains up-to-date, accurate, and relevant for all OS customers. Key areas of new data capture and ongoing data improvement are likely to include updates to both geometry and attribution for: Large Scale Topographic Data Road, Path, and Water Networks Road Routing Information Tidal Update Anticipated publication date of tender documents is July 2024. Ordnance Survey will be holding an information day prior to publication of ITT on 25th of June 2024 held at Ordnance Survey HQ in Southampton. Interested parties wishing to attend this event should register on the OS tender portal at the following address: http://in-tendhost.co.uk/os Once registered you will be able to express an interest in the GDS Framework Prior Information Stage and send a request via correspondence to request attendance on the day. Requests to attend should be made no later than 31/05/24.
